L’Amicale des Etudiants de l’USSD (AE-USSD), a organisé le samedi 19 décembre 2020 sa
première journée d’intégration dont le parrain était le Professeur Modeste Ogougbémy.
La cérémonie s’est déroulée dans les locaux de l’USSD au Point E, en présence de la
Présidente et des membres du Conseil d’Administration, du Recteur, du corps enseignant, du
Personnel administratif, du médiateur, des invités et des étudiants.
Selon le Président de l’Amicale des étudiants de l’USSD, cette fête a pour but de faciliter
L’intégration des nouveaux étudiants, mais également de récompenser les meilleurs étudiants.
Le parrain de la journée, le Professeur Modeste Ogougbémy, après avoir rappelé les missions
du médecin et du pharmacien, a invité les nouveaux étudiants au respect de l’éthique et de la
déontologie des professions de santé. Il a conclu son discours par cette citation de Rabelais “Science sans conscience n’est que ruine de l’âme”
Le Recteur, le Professeur Oumar NDIR a d’abord rappelé l’objectif de l’USSD qui est de
promouvoir l’excellence en matière de formation dans les sciences de la santé. Il a ensuite
encouragé l’amicale des étudiants à mettre en œuvre le système du tutorat qui permet à
chaque nouvel étudiant de bénéficier de l’aide et de l’expérience d’un ancien, dans les
domaines universitaires et sociaux
La Présidente du Conseil d’Administration, le Docteur Sokhna D. NDIAYE a exhorté les
étudiants à créer un club d’anglais afin de parler couramment cette langue et pouvoir ensuite
exercer leur métier partout dans le monde. Elle a promis de soutenir l’AE-USSD et de l’aider
à réaliser tous ses projets.
La cérémonie s’est poursuivie par une présentation des 14 pays dont sont originaires les
étudiants, un défilé de mode vestimentaire montrant la diversité culturelle des étudiants, et la
remise des prix d’excellence et d’encouragement aux meilleurs étudiants de l’année
universitaire 2019 – 2020.
Un repas communautaire, des activités ludiques et une rencontre de football entre les anciens
et les nouveaux étudiants ont ensuite été organisés.
C’est donc dans une atmosphère conviviale qu’a pris fin cette première journée d’intégration.
Rendez-vous est donné à l’année prochaine.
